Alex Grodkiewicz

My grandad was a lifelong photographer, and no family function was complete without Pop snapping away on his chunky Nikon film camera. I’ll always remember his squinted eye, peeking out from the side of the camera as he counted us off or snapped a candid. As a kid I didn’t think much of it, but as I’ve grown up I’ve come to appreciate the magic and beauty of a photograph. The way that pictures can bring all of yours senses right back to a single moment, remind you of things you’d forgotten, or carry the memory of the people who have meant the most to you.

Pop isn’t here any more, but I try to bring a little of him with me to every wedding and every session. Your moments aren’t just for posting online, or filling up a portfolio. They’re the story of your life in images. Meant to be shared, celebrated, laughed about, and kept forever. I’ve been a wedding photographer for over 10 years, and every time I take out my camera I set out to get photos that document the best you on the best days of your life: photos that you’ll want to share with your friends tomorrow and with your grandchildren in thirty years.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories.
